“Harvard Study Reveals That the Big Pharma Monopoly Is FDA Approved.” Ihodl.com Is an Illustrated Edition about Cryptocurrencies and Financial Markets., 13 Sept. 2016, https://ihodl.com/economics/2016-09-13/harvard-study-reveals-big-pharma-monopoly-fda-approved/.
This study reveals the truth that unfair pharmaceutical monopolies are FDA approved, and as such, the prices of pharmaceutical drugs have only been increasing. With the use of explicit evidence and healthy examples, this piece convincingly exposes “Big Pharma” and I plan on using this in my essay to argue against Stevenson’s accusations against the justice system.
Kamal Kaiser, Rabah. “What Are the Current Costs and Outcomes Related to Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders?” Peterson-Kaiser Health System Tracker, 31 July 2017, https://www.healthsystemtracker.org/chart-collection/current-costs-outcomes-related-mental-health-substance-abuse-disorders/#item-start.
Rabah Kamal presents an array of statistics and findings regarding mental illness and poverty in his presentation. This document can be viewed as a slideshow, and most of the information on this presentation take the form of a graph. There are some very interesting results regarding the link between poverty and mental illness, and I intend to use some of these findings as evidence for the claims I will make in my essay.
Sohn, Emily. “Can Poverty Lead To Mental Illness?” NPR, NPR, 30 Oct. 2016, https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2016/10/30/499777541/can-poverty-lead-to-mental-illness.
Emily Sohn investigates possible links between mental illness and poverty around the world. In her article, she compares mental illness and poverty to a chicken and the egg paradox—which causes which? She concludes that poverty leads to a higher risk of mental illness, and I plan on elaborating off that conclusion, suggesting that it may be because poorer individuals cannot afford the medication they so desperately require.
